Olayinka’s career has been at the intersection of business and social impact, and he is committed to exploring business solutions to social problems.

Early in his career, he worked at Ernst & Young on process optimization and organization restructuring for clients in Nigeria’s energy and insurance sectors. Subsequently, he worked at Asoko Insight – a corporate data startup – and collected private company data to expose high-growth African firms, in agriculture, healthcare and IT, to global investment and trade opportunities. He also facilitated trade missions of the Japan External Trade Organisation and Netherlands-African Business Council.

Recently, he worked at Dalberg on global development topics including financial inclusion, and agriculture. While there, he supported the development of the “Human Account Framework” -a global customer segmentation model to help financial service providers better understand and serve 2 billion people.

As a Jacobs Fellow, Olayinka is excited about engaging with other fellows to identify cross-disciplinary solutions to social challenges and, contributing to developing the Jacobs Network.
