Ms. Jacobs is the daughter of the Foundation’s founder, Klaus J. Jacobs. A Swiss journalist, she is employed by Tamedia AG in Zurich.
Dr. Christian Jacobs, Chairman of the Board, commented, “I am delighted that my sister Nathalie is joining us in the leadership of the Jacobs Foundation and its activities, effective immediately. The Jacobs Foundation stands for knowledge‐based innovation, and seeks to improve the living conditions of young people worldwide through intervention programs and public discussion. As a journalist, Nathalie will focus particularly on maintaining and expanding the Foundation’s capacity for dialogue. She will also assist the Foundation in designing and promoting programs to help young people become productive members of society.”
Nathalie Jacobs was born in Switzerland in 1985. She graduated from the University of Zurich with a degree in sociology. In her earlier work for Adecco, she gained expertise in marketing and human resources. She began her career in journalism as a free‐lance contributor to the newspaper Studierende Zeitung (SZ) at the University of Zurich. “I am looking forward to contributing to the work of the Jacobs Foundation as a member of the Board of Trustees. The Foundation is committed to helping children and youth take advantage of their full potential, a cause that is close to my heart. It is important, after all, not only to have opportunities, but also to be able to make the best possible use of those opportunities,” says Nathalie Jacobs.
