Kanan Dubal

Kanan Dubal is Senior Advisor, West Africa, at the Jacobs Foundation, where she supports the Foundation’s investments in evidence-based education reform across West Africa. She brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of policy, research, and governance.
Before joining the Foundation, she led Innovations for Poverty Action Ghana’s technical assistance to the government through research, monitoring and evaluation (MEL), and capacity-building activities to drive the scale-up of Differentiated Learning in over 10,000 public schools in Ghana. She also served as a legal and policy advisor to Ghana’s Ministry of Education, working closely with senior leadership to drive strategic policy development, legislative reform, and the formulation of key national education initiatives.
Kanan began her career as a corporate lawyer in India before transitioning to public policy. She has advised ministries and education departments in Ghana, Mexico, France, and India on reform strategy, legislative processes, and inclusive education. She holds a Master’s degree in Education Policy and Analysis from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Law.
