Swetha Prakash

Swetha is the CEO of Plus Education, an Australian non-profit that provides equitable, inclusive English language education and digital learning for children on the margins of the developing world. Through non-internet dependent technology and learning programs, Plus accelerates the skills development of rural children in India, Cambodia and Indonesia, empowering them for future work and participation in the digital age.

In these contexts, social impact is as much about changing mindsets as it is about creating opportunity. The dissemination of information, tools and best practices brings up a massive quality challenge, which she believes can be mitigated to a large extent by leveraging the power of technology in designing education solutions.

Swetha is an experienced learning research & design professional with a passion for creating simple yet impactful teaching-learning ecosystems. She has nearly 20 years’ experience in pedagogy design, leadership, and growth across the EdTech sector and has had the opportunity to work in diverse contexts both within India and in other countries such as South Africa and Singapore.

She has a MSc in Mathematics from IIT Madras and an MA in Learning Sciences from Northwestern University along with a professional certification in Teacher education (CIDTT) from Cambridge University.
