Matthew Lloyd-Rose

Matthew Lloyd-Rose has worked as a carer, primary school teacher, police officer, and in leadership roles across the UK’s charity and social sectors. He was Head of Research at Teach First, part of the team that founded the charity Police Now, then joined the EdTech start-up tiney as their founding Head of Education.

In 2021 he set up The Social Impact Agency and now works with organisations to analyse, accelerate and amplify their social impact. Recent clients include The Reach Foundation, Frontline, Fearless Futures, Minds Ahead and the National Institute of Teaching.

Strategic, dynamic and highly creative, Matthew achieves results at pace, brings the best out of others, and ensures integrity, imagination and an impact focus are ever-present. He is passionate about social justice and addressing educational inequality, and deeply committed to inclusion and empowering communities to drive the change they want to see.

Matthew is also the award-nominated author of Into the Night: A Year with the Police (Picador, 2023), The Character Conundrum: How to develop confidence, independence and resilience in the classroom (Routledge, 2018), and Curiocity: An Alternative A to Z of London (Penguin, 2016).

He currently lives in Cyprus with his wife and two young children.
