The Jacobs Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Christoph Schenk to its Board of Trustees and the Foundation’s Investment Committee, effective from April 1, 2026.
Christoph brings three decades of experience shaping institutional investment strategy and financial governance.
From 2014 to 2025, he was the Chief Investment Officer at Zürcher Kantonalbank. Christoph now acts as a Senior Advisor to the bank, in addition to serving as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Swisscanto Fondsleitung AG, a product brand for investment funds within the Zürcher Kantonalbank Group. Prior to this, he held significant senior leadership roles at UBS and Credit Suisse.
Christoph holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Bern and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
It is an honor to join such a distinguished group of leaders, each bringing their unique expertise to advance the Jacobs Foundation’s mission of transforming global education systems and improving children’s learning and development outcomes. I look forward to bringing my own experience in investment and asset management to support the Foundation’s ambitions under its Strategy 2030 roadmap, helping scale country-level system change through innovative financing and cross-sector partnerships.
