Jacobs Fellows from different sectors such as Research, Social Entrepreneurship, and Journalism gather for the first time at Druids Glen, Ireland, this week. The new format of the fellows’ meeting is aimed at expanding the horizons of the next generation of researchers, innovators, and opinion leaders related to child and youth development.
Fellows share their experience, talk about their plans and project implementations as well as their key research questions. They all benefit from a program that offers group discussions, networking, science workshops, speed talks and free time for individual chats.
This year, the Jacobs Foundation is delighted to welcome Terrie Moffit & Avshalom Caspi, as key note speakers, both distinguished professors of psychology at
Duke University. Together, they study mental health and human development. For their research on the interplay between genetic disposition and environmental influences Terrie Moffitt and Avshalom Caspi were awarded with the Klaus J. Jacobs Research Prize 2010.
The annual Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship Meeting takes place from
April 9-13, 2019. It brings together more than 40 researchers and professionals. The meeting allows fellows to broaden their understanding of global research trends and communication challenges that will shape the 21st century both within and outside their research experience and professional expertise.
