Conversations with team members and partners at the Jacobs Foundation

At the Jacobs Foundation, we recognise the power of telling our story as a way to inform and support the efforts of other organisations transforming education globally. With that in mind, we have launched the ‘Conversations with…’ series, a set of revealing interviews with the people who are leading education transformation efforts around the world.

Our intention is to create an informal space to explore both the successes and challenges we’ve faced across different parts of our work and that of our partners. These conversations give us an opportunity to reflect critically on how we can do better and to capture useful lessons in the process. We are a learning organisation – this is a place where we can share some of that learning.

These conversations have been held with passionate individuals from across our organisation and broader network, all of whom have embraced the opportunity to explore and reflect. We have asked Jim Playfoot, an independent educator, writer and consultant, to convene the conversations.

In the first three conversations, we explore a range of themes including the challenge of working across diverse teams and cultures, how to build scale and sustainability, embracing a systems mentality and the importance of embedding impact measurement. These interviews will be made available here over the coming weeks.

We welcome your thoughts and inputs and look forward to continuing these conversations with you as we collectively invest in the future of children everywhere.
