Federico Mele is the co-Founder and CEO of the Global Economic Awareness Project (www.geaproject.org) a non-profit he launched in 2015. The GEA Project brings together young professionals from around the world to lead intensive leadership and career development workshops in underserved schools in Asia and Africa. In four years, GEA has mobilized 100+ young professionals and impacted 1000+ students through its innovative curriculum and teaching strategies. While growing GEA, Federico has pursued a career in strategy consulting and private equity in New York.

A native of Rome, Federico holds a BA and MA in Economics from Boston University, and is an MBA Candidate, Class of 2020, at The Wharton School. At Wharton, Federico is co-President of the GUIDE Mentorship Program, an Admissions Fellow, a TA in the Management Communication core courses, and President of The Italian Club.

With the Jacobs Foundation, Federico is eager continue his work to advance education and mentorship opportunities across cultures and geographies.
