Christabel J Sitienei

Christabel is a Master of Engineering student at MIT.  She is a software engineer, passionate about technology and sub-Saharan Africa. She loves to talk and think about novel ways of applying technology to creatively solve modern day challenges such as decentralizing and improving access to education. Christabel is from Eldoret, Kenya and also loves to muse about where sub-Saharan Africa will be in 10 years.

She joined the Jacobs fellowship through the Legatum center and is working on  Majji: a low cost water monitor to help effectively monitor water levels thus improving access  to reliable water supplies. Through the fellowship, she hopes to pilot and iterate on a sustainable business model.
