Lindsey Larson

Lindsey is driven to promote sustainability and human dignity through her role as an Economist in the Agriculture and Food Global Practice at the World Bank. In this position, she oversees programs addressing sustainable land use, rural livelihoods, and agribusiness development. This includes serving as the Deputy Program Manager of the Food Systems, Land Use and Restoration Impact Program, a $306 million program targeting 27 countries and 8 agricultural commodities. She also leads Enabling the Business of Agriculture, a global benchmarking initiative, which serves as a tool to identify reforms for to improve

Before the World Bank, Lindsey worked with private and public sector stakeholders on sustainable finance for biodiversity and landscapes. This built on a career implementing conservation programs around the world with NGOs like WWF. She began her career at National Geographic working on the Genographic Project, a global initiative to map the history of humanity using DNA. Lindsey holds a BA from Dartmouth College in Environmental Studies, a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
