Oxford Saïd

Efua is an MBA candidate of the University of Oxford Said Business School. She is Ghanaian lives with her husband and two young daughters, Xara and Sauda. After completing her degree in Political Science at the University of Ghana, she worked in the Human Resource Department at Saiwest Limited and Heliconia EAS Ghana as the Office Manager; both companies in the oil and gas industry.

On the side, she invested in a start-up restaurant, Just Grills, two (2) years ago. She is passionate about the development of the agricultural value chain in Ghana hence, the restaurant’s supplies are sourced locally. This goes a long way in ensuring that local Small Hold Farmers have a reliable source of income and ready market for their yield thereby, reducing their Post-Harvest Losses.

At the Jacobs Foundation, she hopes to explore impact investing to improve agricultural supply chains in Africa, collaborate with other Jacobs Foundation scholars to advance early childhood education research more broadly and further pursue her interest in international relations and diplomacy aimed towards improving early childhood education and maternal health reform.
